[SE SO NEON's new album <NOW>]
Glow in the Dark Vinyl available for pre-order
"Capturing a moment ultimately means capturing eternity."
They captured this moment with their first full-length album, <NOW>, eight years after their debut.
On August 15th, the band SE SO NEON will release their first full-length album, <NOW>, eight years after their debut.
Founded by frontman Hwang So-yoon (vocals/guitar), SE SO NEON has been active on both domestic and international stages since their debut with their first single, "Long Dream," in 2017. Their diverse music and colors transcend genre boundaries, earning them the love of a global fan base.
In 2023, while performing and working in both the US and Korea, Hwang So-yoon experienced a sense of self-destruction, a sense of being blocked, and a loss of the stories she wanted to tell.
At a time when she constantly yearned to reconnect with her past self, life in Seoul became burdensome, and she continued to question her own freedom.
He said he realized, "The past and the future are merely concepts recurring in his mind, and what truly matters is living in the present moment."
The regular album <NOW> was born from this realization. Breaking away from traditional production structures, it is the result of spontaneously recording the emotions and images that arise in the midst of life.
As the producer of this album, Hwang So-yoon not only wrote the lyrics, composed, and arranged the music, but also personally oversaw the art direction and production of all the released videos.
Containing a total of 12 tracks, <NOW> is a personal archive and a record of artistic liberation, each track capturing a specific moment and emotion.
Through this album, Saesoneon demonstrates how the collection of moments creates the eternity of art, prompting listeners to revisit the meaning of "now."
